What is the eligibilty to join the courses?
There are no special eligibility requirements to join our courses although if you have some basic sewing knowledge or have an apparel industry background it helps in learning pattern making but it is not a must.
Don’t worry, our courses are perfectly suitable even for complete beginners and industry outsiders. We teach everything from absolute basics and in a very beginner-friendly way so you will not face any difficulty.
How the live courses will be conducted?
The live classes will be conducted via free live screen sharing and meeting software Zoom/Google Meet.
In manual courses, the course instructor will share his work table and webcam and will teach you live by making physical paper patterns on his work table.
In CAD courses, the instructor will share his computer screen and webcam and will teach you live on Optitex/TUKAcad software running on his computer.
You will be able to ask all your questions and doubts live directly to the instructor while taking the class so you will get the same learning experience as in a regular course.
What will be the course schedule and class timings?
The course schedule will be same as our regular courses. In all the courses, there will be 2 classes per week with 2 to 3 days of gap between each class. Each class will be of 2 hours (number of classes and class duration could be extended if needed).
For remaining free days of the week between the 2 classes, after every class the students will be given practical pattern making homework on real industry sketches, styles and measurements which they must complete and show to the course instructor in the next class. The instructor will evaluate it and check it for accuracy and fitting and provide their feedback. This is to develop learner’s real world industry-level pattern making work skills.
The class days and class timings will be flexible and will be finalized after discussing the preference of each enrolled student according to their convenience.
What hardware/software is required to attend the live classes?
You will need a desktop/laptop with good broadband internet connection so you can attend the live classes without any issue.
For CAD courses, you will either need Optitex or TUKAcad depending upon the course you join. Optitex software’s demo version will be provided and installed by us on your computer which will be yours to keep and use for free forever for pattern making practice. For TUKAcad, you will need to purchase the monthly subscription of their Learning Edition for $19 (₹1400 approx.).
Don’t worry, we will help you set everything up so that you don’t face any difficulty.
Will the recordings of live classes be provided?
Generally, our live course learners do not require the class recordings as the course content is very beginner-friendly and well structured but if someone is facing difficulty in learning live or understanding the topics and want to have the class recordings for revision after the class then some special provisions could be made. You will need to contact us regarding the same.
Can I share the classes with someone else?
Recording, copying, modifying, sharing, selling or distributing any of our course content is strictly prohibited. All our content is copyright protected and legal action will be taken against anyone found indulging in such activities.
Please keep in mind that we have ways to determine whether any class has been recorded, shared or misused and in such a case have every right to cancel your course enrollment immediately without any prior notice in addition to initiating legal action.
What if I miss a live class?
The class days and class timings are made flexible so that you never face any difficulty in attending the class live. Still if you miss a class due to some unfortunate reason, you will either be given a separate class from the rest of the batch or will be provided a class recording to cover the missed topics.
Also, there will be special revision classes and doubt classes regularly so there is no need to worry.
In what languages are the courses available?
All our courses are available in both Hindi and English so no need to worry if you don’t understand Hindi well or if you are not from India.
You will be asked to choose your preferred course instruction medium while enrolling in the course.
I am not from India, can I join the courses?
Absolutely! We have so many international learners just like you who have enrolled in our courses from over 4 countries.
All our courses are available in complete English so international learners need not worry.
International learners can pay the course fee easily via PayPal.
I can't afford to pay the full course fee in one go.
No worries! We understand that not everyone can pay full course fee at once so we have now enabled installment payment option for all our learners. You can now pay the course fee in easy monthly installments without any extra charge!
Join a course by just paying its first course fee installment and start learning immediately. Subsequent payments will be taken at the gap of one month each.
Will a certificate be granted and how?
Yes an authorized digital course completion certificate carrying your photo and verifiable scannable QR Code will be granted to you on successful course completion.
At the end of the course, an online pattern making exam will be given to you to assess your progress. You will need to qualify the exam with at least 80% marks to get a certificate.
How my doubts will be cleared?
You can ask all your questions and doubts directly to the instructor live during a class.
You will also be given the direct contact number of the course instructor so you can ask all your course-related questions and doubts anytime to the instructor via call, WhatsApp or any of your preferred medium.
Regular doubt classes and revision classes will also be provided to clear all your doubts so don’t worry.
